Investigators on site: Jennifer, Tracy and Tim along with Jess & Jim observing
Claims of activity:
- Shadows
- Animals watch the walls
- Sounds of people talking is heard in the basement
- Curtains move
- Being touched
We spent many hours investigating this home, using a variety of our tools. We were actually able to provide alternative explanations to most of the claims. The following are our conclusions:
Shadows: we found that there was a lot of light play in this home due to numerous windows on all sides, and also the fact that the roads are angled steeply and the way the light reflects from cars provides a myriad of shadows and light movement across the rooms. Also, the pets (cats) climb up to the windows to sit on the ledge and when they move, they also create many shadows on a variety of angles.
Animals watching the walls: we suspect that they are also intrigued by the light play
Sounds of people heard talking in the basement: this one took a little time, but we managed to split the team up between the basement and the dining room upstairs, we monitored when the clients heard the talking through the vent, and we discovered that the “talking” was actually the result of the hot water tank going through a strange sounding cycle. Through the vent, it did end up sounding like muffled conversation.
Curtains moving: we suspect the animals may cause that and/or a slight breeze or a door opening on the other side of the home.
Being touched: this is the only claim that we could not provide an alternate explanation for.
The clients seemed very relieved with our findings, and that there was no other evidence discovered during review. We did not get any EVP’s or video evidence. We also did not experience any device manipulation that evening.
As of this date, there has been no further perceived paranormal events experienced in this home.
